Welcome to the official microsite of the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) of DILG Region XIII. As the monitoring arm of DILG Caraga, our mission is to ensure that local governance is not just a process, but a tangible service that reaches every citizen. We believe that what gets measured gets improved; therefore, we provide the evidence-based feedback and oversight necessary to help our Local Government Units thrive and improve their service delivery.
This platform is designed to provide our partners—the Local Government Units, Civil Society Organizations, and the general public—with real-time access to vital reports, operational guidelines, and regional milestones. The Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division is one of the operating divisions of the Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office XIII - Caraga. It is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of local government units in the region, and for reporting the results to regional management, to the national office and to the public.
Core functions
- Monitoring the compliance of local government units with national laws, policies and issuances.
- Evaluating the implementation and results of local governance programs and projects.
- Conducting field validation and assessment activities across the region's provinces, cities and municipalities.
- Maintaining the regional record of monitoring findings, recommendations and follow-up actions.
- Preparing and publishing monitoring and evaluation reports.
- Providing technical assistance and frontline services to local government units.
